Gustav Mahler Academy

“The Gustav Mahler Academy plays a very important role in the Italian and European cultural scene (…)
offering many musicians a truly significant artistic opportunity.”

(Claudio Abbado)

Academy

For Claudio Abbado, chamber-music was the key to world-class orchestra playing.

Participants work in this spirit intensively with renowned soloists, chamber-musicians and members of the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, as well as one of the MCO’s regular conductors.

Masterclasses , chamber music and chamber orchestra are the three pillars of this academy.

and let well-talented young European musicians live the opportunity to participate
in Mahler Academy, irrespective of whether they have sufficient financial resources or not.
To do that, and increase these opportunities, we’d need your help once again.
