Junior Jury & Senior Jury

The enthusiasm of young listeners!

Between Kufstein and Ala, in the area spanning the Euregio region Tyrol-South Tyrol-Trentino, there are thousands of passionate pianists. Since 2017, more than 50 young pianists have been called upon to form the Junior Jury, an independent jury that oversees the first part of the final stages of the competition and awards its own prize.

The judgement of the Junior Jury does not necessarily coincide with that of the main jury: rather, we want to show the different perspectives, considerations, and judgements on the interpretation of our finalists who come to Bolzano from all over the world.

In the various editions of the competition, the Junior Jury was composed of students and pupils from the following institutions: Conservatory C. Monteverdi Bolzano, Conservatory F.A. Bonporti Trient-Riva del Garda, Tyrolean State Conservatory Innsbruck, German and Ladin Music School, Italian Music School A. Vivaldi, Gymnasium Walther von der Vogelweide Bolzano.

2023 also saw the launch of the Senior Jury, made up of passionate music lovers from near and far. What will be the verdict of the different generations of piano enthusiasts?
