Giorgi Gigashvili has carried out an active performing career and regularly performs as a soloist and chamber musician as well; collaborates with various orchestras and participates in various festivals and master-classes worldwide. He is studying under the guidance of Emeritus Revaz Tavadze. Among his awards are 1st Prize at the Lloret de Mar International competition Fiestalonia Milenio (Spain, 2013), 1st Prize at the the IV Fryderyk Chopin competition for young pianists (Tbilisi, 2015), 1st Prize at the Chopin International Competition for Pianists (Estonia, 2016), 2nd Prize at the Sixth Tbilisi International Piano Competition. 1st Prize and Nelson Freire Special Prize at the III international piano competition “City of Vigo”(Martha Argerich edition). His recent concerts include recitals at the Salle Cortot, Paris and at the Filharmona Baltyka with the Filharmonia Baltyka Orchestra, Gdansk.
